NORTH ENGLAND, UK, 12 March 2025, Upleashed, the capability-development firm behind the Skills Matrix Template methodology and PulseAI platform, has been named Corporate Training Program of the Year at the North England Prestige Awards 2024/25. This is the second consecutive year the company has won the category, following its 2023/24 win.
The award recognises corporate training programmes "that demonstrably change capability outcomes for the organisations they serve". The judges noted Upleashed's evidence base, over 106.5 million individual skills assessments conducted using the same 0-5 methodology across two decades of client work, and the rare combination of academically defensible rigour with practical applicability.
"Most capability frameworks fall into one of two camps: rigorous and unusable, or usable and untrustworthy," said the firm's founder. "We've spent twenty years making the same method strong enough for a regulated environment and simple enough for a Monday-morning team meeting. To be recognised twice for that work is genuinely meaningful."
The award arrives at a moment of heightened relevance. As employers grapple with the AI-era shift documented in the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs 2025 report, 39% of core skills expected to change by 2030, the demand for trustworthy, evidenced capability data has accelerated sharply.
"Restructure-first responses are common; mapping-first responses are rare," the founder added. "Our customers are telling us that being able to see capability before they move people is what separates a confident decision from a guess."
About the methodology
The Upleashed capability methodology, published in long form at skillsmatrixtemplate.com/methodology, uses a six-level scale (0-5) with full descriptors, evidence rules, and governance patterns. It is distributed in three forms:
- The Excel Skills Matrix Template, the file-based version, £199 one-off.
- PulseAI, the same methodology as a web and mobile platform.
- Insynode, a free skills assessment for individuals.
